Services ยท Mosquito Control

Take your evenings back from mosquitoes.

Yard fogging and standing-water treatment for Phoenix Valley homes, timed around the monsoon season that brings them out.

What mosquito control covers

Mosquito control is a yard treatment, not a house treatment, because mosquitoes breed outside and come to you. Nice Pest Company fogs the shaded resting spots where they wait out the heat, treats the standing water they breed in, and cuts back the sources around your yard that keep refilling. Monsoon season is when Valley yards get hit hardest, so the work is a barrier kept up through the season rather than one visit. For yards with standing water you cannot get rid of, mosquito bait stations can be added to the plan, working between visits to keep the population down.

How our mosquito treatment works

The order matters here: cutting the water they breed in is what makes the rest of it hold.

  1. Walk the yard.

We look for standing water and shade: irrigation boxes, plant saucers, low spots, dense shrubs, and anywhere water sits after a monsoon storm.

  2. Cut the sources.

Standing water is where the next generation comes from, so reducing it is the part that lowers the count rather than just the count today.

  3. Fog the resting spots.

Treatment goes into the shaded vegetation and structure where adults wait out the day, which is where a yard spray actually reaches them.

  4. Keep it up through the season.

Every-other-month service holds the barrier while the pressure lasts, and bait stations can carry the yards that need more.

Mosquito prevention tips

Mosquitoes breed in standing water, and most of it is the kind no treatment can drain for you. These are off Nice's own prevention list.

  • Dump and scrub any containers that collect water.

  • Keep pool covers tight and free of puddles.

  • Clean gutters regularly.

  • Repair screens and seal gaps around doors and windows.

  • Use fans on patios to keep mosquitoes away.

Why a pro beats a citronella candle

A candle moves mosquitoes a few feet and a hardware-store spray hits the ones you can see. Neither one touches the water they are breeding in or the shade they rest in, which is where the next batch comes from.

  • Source reduction, not just the adults on your patio.

  • Fogging that reaches shaded resting spots.

  • A barrier held through monsoon season.

Good to know

Questions? We've got answers.

Straight answers to what Valley homeowners ask us most. Still not sure about something? We're happy to talk it through.

When is mosquito season in Phoenix?

Mosquito pressure in the Phoenix Valley climbs with the monsoon and stays up while the storms keep leaving standing water behind, so the summer and early fall months are when Valley yards notice them most. Because the desert gives them water year-round in irrigation and landscaping, a barrier kept up every other month is more reliable than treating only when you start getting bitten.

Does mosquito control treat the inside of my house?

Mosquito treatment is a yard service, because that is where mosquitoes breed and rest. Your standard every-other-month service already treats the inside and outside of the home for general pests; the mosquito work adds fogging and standing-water treatment in the yard on top of it.

Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?

Yes. We use eco-friendly, regulated products that are safe for your family and pets when applied the way our technicians are trained to apply them. If you've got a curious toddler, a nosy dog, or a fish tank, tell your tech and they'll walk you through exactly what they're using and where.

How much does mosquito control cost?

Mosquito service runs on the standard Nice plan: a $75 initial service, then visits every other month at $49 a month with no contract. Mosquito bait stations are a $15 add-on per service for yards that need them. We send a no-obligation estimate by text before we start, so you see the number first.
